"The
famous and iconic Belle Tout
Lighthouse at Beachy Head in
East Sussex stands in splendid
isolation on the delightful
South Downs overlooking the
English Channel. It's setting
has to be one of the most
beautiful in the country, if not
- the world.
In common with thousands of
others, I was intrigued by this
fascinating building and its
amazing history so when, in
2008, it came up for sale, I
bought it, albeit in a very
dilapidated condition and have
since paid a 'kings ransom' to
have it restored, renovated and
sympathetically converted to
comfortably accommodate B & B
guests.
How could I publicise this
unique product and let the world
know it was now accessible to
those wanting the 'sleep in a
lighthouse experience'?
Knowing there was going to be a
television programme early in
2010 in the series 'Build a new
Life in the Country', covering
the renovation of Belle Tout, it
was doubly important to create
and establish a web site that
could adequately cater for the
huge interest anticipated and
subsequently realised by that TV
programme and on-going
enquiries.
RAW-Systems rose to the
challenge magnificently,
producing a web site that is
both attractive and informative.
They arranged professional
photography and film which shows
the accommodation and some of
the stunning views. They also
did much of the historical
research which resulted in a
brilliant and much praised web
site of which I am very proud.
In my opinion, RAW Systems has
produced an exceptional web site
of a standard by which others
should be judged. Take a look
